15     <p>The goal of <i>The ESRG Tool Set</i> is to provide functionality related to
16     the design and construction of embedded systems, for free, and with the
17     advantages of open-source.</p>
18     <p>We welcome <i>all</i> contributions of tools, <i>all</i> contributions of
19     papers and articles, and <i>all</i> assistance.</p>
20     <p>If you wish to contribute a tool, here are the restrictions and the
21     expectations:</p>
22     <ul>
23     <li>You must be willing and legally able to place the tool under the GPL.</li>
24     <li>You must maintain the tool source code in <a href="../glossary/glossary.htm#cvs_vc" target="_blank">CVS</a>
25     at <a href="http://sourceforge.net" target="_blank">SourceForge</a>.</li>
26     <li>You must maintain the documentation for the tool in CVS at SourceForge.&nbsp;
27     All forms of documentation are welcome, but usually the best approach is to
28     incorporate the documentation into the <a href="../bk_prac_guide/desc.htm" target="_blank">ESRG
29     microcontroller software book</a>.</li>
30     <li>You must be willing to assume zonal responsibility for the tool (react to
31     bug reports, etc.).</li>
32     <li>You must be willing to interact with CVS directly to make changes,
33     corrections, etc.</li>
34     </ul>
35     <p>If you wish to contribute a paper or article, here are the restrictions and
36     expectations:</p>
37     <ul>
38     <li>You must be legally able to place the paper or article on the web and
39     bundle it with the ESRG Windows® tool set (usually, this means you must be
40     the copyright holder).</li>
41     <li>You must maintain the paper or article in <a href="../glossary/glossary.htm#cvs_vc" target="_blank">CVS</a>
42     at <a href="http://sourceforge.net" target="_blank">SourceForge</a>.</li>
43     <li>You must be willing to assume zonal responsibility for the paper or
44     article (react to comments, corrections, inquiries, etc.).</li>
45     <li>You must be willing to interact with CVS directly to make changes,
46     corrections, etc.</li>
